How it Works

Once you send through an inquiry we can arrange a phone call, video chat or no obligation vibe check in my home office.

Upon booking I will ask for a deposit to secure your date we will go from there.

Legal requirements

Don't stress! I will do all of this for you!
Once you have chosen me to be your celebrant the first thing we will do is complete your Notice of Intended Marriage.
The form can be completed with your me or if not convenient due to distance you can download it and have it witnessed by an authorised witness.
If you are in Australia and completing the forms yourself, you can have your NOIM witnessed by one of the following authorised witnesses:

  • an authorised Marriage Celebrant

  • a justice of the peace

  • a Commissioner for Declarations under the Statutory Declarations Act 1959

  • a barrister or solicitor

  • a legally qualified medical practitioner

  • a member of the Australian Federal Police or the police force of a Sate or Territory.

If you're overseas and unable to be in Australia before the NOIM is due, you will need one of the following authorities to witness:

  • an Australian Diplomatic Officer

  • an Australian Consular Officer

  • a Notary public

  • an employee of the Commonwealth authorised under paragraph 3(c) of the Consular Fees Act 1955

  • an employee of the Australian Trade Commission authorised under paragraph 3(d) of the Consular Fees Act 1955.

To secure your ceremony date it is simply providing me with your completed NOIM no later than one month and no earlier than 18 months prior to your ceremony date.
The NOIM must be completed, signed and witnessed.  The easiest way to achieve this is to complete the NOIM with me.

Identification you need to present for your NOIM:

  • Your original birth certificate OR your original current or expired (but not cancelled) passport

  • Your current drivers license or other form of photo ID.

If you’ve been married before, you will need to show evidence of end of previous marriage.

Before you walk down the aisle you will need to sign a Declaration of No Legal Impediment.  This is usually done at your rehearsal or just before the ceremony depending on what is most convenient.
The final pieces of paperwork you will sign during the ceremony are two Official Certificates of Marriage, and the commemorative Marriage Certificate.
You will do the signing of these Certificates at the end of the ceremony, with your two nominated witnesses.
Note, your witnesses can be anyone, but they must be over 18 years of age.  Also, it is good to be aware that you can't use the commemorative marriage certificate for name changes, you need to apply for an official marriage certificate via Birth, Deaths and Marriages or I can do that on your behalf.

Prior to the ceremony we must also do a Real Consent Separate meeting to ensure both parties are happily consenting to the marriage.

After the ceremony I will send your documentation to through Births, Deaths and Marriages. This is all done electronically by me - nothing for you to worry about and that is when it is official - you’re 100% MARRIED!

Rehearsal:

Having a rehearsal will depend on the pakage you choose or you could also add it on.

I do recommend a rehearsal particularly if you have a large bridal party as it gives us an opportunity to run through the ceremony and discuss any last minute questions which will make you feel more relaxed on the day.

Music:

I recommend you choose four songs.

One for the processional, two for signing and an exit song.

Colour Theme:

I will do my absloute best to suit your style, theme and colour choices.

PA system

You are more that welcome to play your music through my Bose S1 Pro speaker.

Personal vows:

There are some legal components we need to include otherwise we can create a ceremony to suit you. We can work with any ideas you have or I can suggest a range of options for you.
If you do choose to write your own vows I will provide you with plenty of ideas and support. I am also happy to make you vow cards to read from.
